This school year you will be doing additional work to get you ready for the papers included in the Cambridge English: Advanced Test to obtain the Cambridge Advanced Certificate. 

Session 1

1. Read an article from a well-known newspaper such as 
The Guardian,

Please, make sure the news article topic is interesting.  However, entertainment and sports articles should not be selected unless they pertain health studies.
Print the text, and after a careful reading, identify the structure of the text. You may mark  its parts on the copy. Finally, write four questions with answers.

2. Watch the documentary 'The Dark Side of Chocolate'

Answer the questions we posed last class in your notebook. Don't forget to write the questions.

Session 3

1. Watch the video 'The Danger of a Single Story'

After watching it several times, write a report.


2. Browse the different journals. Choose one, print it and read it.

3. Choose one radio programme from BBC Radio 4. Summarize the information and write it down in your own words.
